Wilderness Hideaway Villa Vasara offers a unique opportunity to experience the peace of Lapland, refined luxury, and an authentic way of life in your own completely private villa. It is located on the traditional Sámi reindeer herding farm of the Vasara family, on the shore of Lake Peerajärvi surrounded by fells, in the untouched wilderness of the Käsivarsi region. Here, reindeer herding traditions have been passed down from one generation to the next for 12 generations. The farm’s reindeer herding culture has been updated to the modern day, and sociocultural sustainability as well as the preservation of traditions are an inherent part of our everyday life.
The 200 m² Wilderness Hideaway Villa Vasara comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests. There are eight beds plus an additional sofa bed. The spacious villa is designed especially for groups who value privacy, space, and high‑quality comfort in the middle of nature. Generous living areas, a private sauna section, and a well‑equipped kitchen create the perfect setting for relaxation and spending time together. Two of the bedrooms have their own private bathroom. In winter, you enjoy an effortless holiday with half board, while in summer your day begins with a delicious breakfast. You also have access to a cozy grill hut for dining and lounging.
Our activities showcasing the local way of life offer you the chance to take part in the daily work of a reindeer herder, learn about Sámi culture and its fascinating stories, and experience the wild nature and its animals up close. You can hunt for the northern lights on dark winter nights or enjoy the unique light of the midnight sun in summer.
Your holiday can be active or peaceful. Year‑round, your accommodation includes yoga mats, blocks, an exercise bike, and a treadmill. In summer, SUP boards, canoes, and a rowing boat are available; in winter, snowshoes, sliding snowshoes, kick sleds, ice‑fishing gear, and outdoor clothing when needed. The surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling. Reindeer roam freely on the farm, bringing a unique atmosphere and unforgettable photo moments. The impressive fell landscape around you makes every moment special.
