Welcome to experience the beauty of Kuusamo and the unique atmosphere of an authentic Finnish log villa. Villa Kajo is peacefully situated in the middle of a forest by a small river, just a 10-minute drive from the services, restaurants, and activities of Ruka Ski Resort. This spacious log villa provides a comfortable setting for families and groups of friends throughout the year.
Villa Kajo accommodates up to 11 guests. The main floor features a cozy living area, dining space, and a well-equipped kitchen, creating the perfect setting for spending time together. A fireplace forms the heart of the villa, bringing warmth and atmosphere, especially during the winter months. There are also two bedrooms on this level, each furnished with a 140 cm double bed. One of the bedrooms additionally includes an 80 cm upper bunk bed. The lower level offers a comfortable TV lounge area. Here you will also find the sauna, washing and changing facilities, and a separate toilet. The loft provides additional sleeping space with two 160 cm beds and two 80 cm single beds.
Villa Kajo enjoys a private location surrounded by forest and natural scenery. The nearest neighbor is approximately 100 meters away, while the surrounding landscape offers peace, quiet, and direct access to nature. From the yard, you can step straight into the forest and explore the beautiful wilderness of Kuusamo.
Outside, guests can enjoy a campfire area, perfect for cozy evenings in every season. A boardwalk trail leads down to the riverbank (please note that the path may be slippery at times). There is no dock or designated swimming area, but the riverside offers a beautiful setting for relaxing and observing nature. A SUP board is also available for guests to use during the summer season.
In winter, cross-country ski trails and snowmobile routes pass close to the villa, depending on snow conditions, allowing easy access to outdoor activities directly from the property.
Villa Kajo offers a peaceful retreat in nature while remaining conveniently close to local attractions and services. The Pieni Karhunkierros Trail and Oulanka Visitor Centre can be reached in approximately 20 minutes, while the stunning landscapes of Riisitunturi National Park are about 45 minutes away by car. Kuusamo Airport and the town center are both around a 30-minute drive from the villa.
As the villa is located in a peaceful natural setting, having your own car is recommended. The yard offers parking space for several vehicles and, during winter, also provides room for snowmobiles.
