The Aurora Nest

Welcome to the idyllic The Aurora Nest in Saariselkä!

This loft-style holiday cabin for 1–6 guests (42 m² + 20 m²) is located in Luttorinne, Saariselkä, in a peaceful setting. The location is excellent for hikers, trekkers, skiers, and cyclists: the illuminated ski trail is only 100 m away, and the diverse routes of the national park are just a stone’s throw from the cabin. The Aurora Nest is surrounded by the enchanting landscapes of Lapland and its fells.

The cabin is perfect for northern lights viewing — a tranquil spot, far enough from the village lights, yet close to everything. Here you can forget the rush and truly relax.

The Aurora Nest is the most functional base for four guests, but if there are children in the group, it can comfortably accommodate up to six people.

Inside you’ll find a cozy sauna and bathroom, a separate WC, a living area with a fireplace and firewood for evening gatherings, and a renovated kitchenette for cooking moments.

The bedroom is located downstairs, with two separate sleeping areas on the loft.

Downstairs bedroom: 2 x 80 cm beds (can be slightly separated if needed).

Loft: 2 x 80 cm beds (can be combined) + one 120 cm bed for one or two guests.

The cabin is well equipped with proper stairs to the loft, a dishwasher, washing machine, drying cabinet, ironing equipment, hairdryer, 2 TVs, Wi-Fi, Chromecast, and a well-stocked kitchen. Waste sorting bins and instructions are provided in the garbage cabinet and storage, making recycling easy and recommended.

In the storage you’ll find six sleds, a kick sled, and two basic bicycles (mainly for short trips, e.g. to the store). There is also a waxing stand and iron for skis. The large yard accommodates several cars and has one electric outlet for engine heating.

The airport bus runs along Laanilantie. From the bus stop at the Laanilantie / Viskitie intersection, it’s only 500 m to the cabin. Current bus fare: €14 per person.

Note: Pets are allowed, but not in the sleeping areas (downstairs bedroom or loft; there’s a gate at the bottom of the stairs).
